Manage laboratory operations during a period of fast and demanding growth. In three years, the business evolved from a start-up with no customers to a nationally recognized clinical laboratory with more than 150 employees. • Set-up and manage four divisions of the company, including Client Relations, Shipping and Receiving, Data Management and Data Entry and Logistics, all of which currently support over hundreds of physician offices across the United States. • Oversee and manage an annual budget of $5 million for payroll and capital investments. • Serve on multiple committees within the company, including the Risk Committee and Investment Committee. • Oversee six direct reports, who collectively supervise 55 internal employees and 44 contracted employees nationwide. • Led an RFP project for a Laboratory Information System, and implemented multiple pieces of software, including the existing Laboratory Information System, Outreach System, and Billing System. • Helped develop and implement a Quality and Compliance program to ensure the company uses industry best practices and to promote communication with customers. • Negotiated current rates with UPS and Fedex. PCLS is currently the second largest next-day air shipper in the Charlotte Metro Area. • Implemented current Sales Database and Customer Relationship Management system, and created the White Glove Program and other initiatives to monitor and track the customer satisfaction.
