I am a strategic leader and technologist, with a particular interest in data protection, online privacy and web3 decentralized technologies. I act as a consultant, advocate and expert witness in these areas, with a particular focus in holding to account technology companies and authorities.I am an executive director at the Data Protection Foundation, which exists to assert citizens' data rights and to take legal action against companies that surveil consumers or otherwise cause harm online.I founded Glimpse Protocol, a tech startup offering a patented, decentralized technology that powers privacy-preserving personalization online.I spent twenty years delivering complex technology across specialist areas of the British military and national intelligence arenas. I commanded the British Army's only technical intelligence unit, transforming it into a cyber warfare regiment, then worked in similar areas with national organizations. Before leaving the Army, I led the team in the Army's HQ that modernized its digital skills.I maintain a technical and entrepreneurial interest in web3 and decentralized technologies.
