I have over 30 years professional services experience with Deloitte, 17 years as a partner. I am an experienced audit partner to the financial services industry across banking and investment management.I am the Melbourne Audit & Assurance Market Leader as well as the head of the Financial Services Audit Practice in Australia. I have had a diverse professional services career having worked successfully across audit, corporate finance and restructuring services locally and overseas. As a partner I lead large and complex audit and assurance engagements and provide accounting, finance and risk advisory services for local and global companies.I have audited a number of Australian listed companies, many of our firms largest global clients in Australia and internationally and have extensive experience providing audit and assurance services to the banking sector. I have audited a number of investment management entities including a wide variety of managed investment schemes across all asset classes, charitable trusts and perform a number of pro-bono audits.My experience includes external audit, regulatory compliance, internal audits, governance and risk assurance, accounting and finance advisory and financial due diligence.I have a passion for building long term client relationships and my focus is on delivering high quality audits and pragmatic advice to clients. I chair the audit and risk committee of the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) and the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AuASB). I am a member of the Board Nominating Committee for Deloitte Australia. I have a focus on education and people development, I am actively involved in the recruitment of graduates and mentoring of young professionals, I have been a member of numerous advisory boards at La Trobe University including the Business School and Accounting Department and am a former finance committee member of independent Catholic girls school, Sacre Coeur. I am a Trustee of the Sir Robert Menzies Lecture Trust, an annual public lecture held in honour or the former Australian Prime Minister. I am the Electorate Chairman for the Liberal Party for the Victorian State division of Malvern and the former long time Chairman for the federal seat of Higgins.I am an active fundraiser for men’s health through the Movember Foundation where I have raised over $175,000.I am married, have three wonderful children, support Carlton, the All Blacks and used to support the Melbourne Rebels…I am passionate about politics and public policy.
