Mark provides legal guidance and counsel to support the growth and success of the Avanci businesses, building on more than 30 years of experience in major law firms and leading legal functions within large international organizations.With a focus in the areas of technology, outsourcing, telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions, and financial transactions, before joining the company, Mark previously served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Hewlett-Packard, and earlier in his career, was Of Counsel in the Global Outsourcing and Technology practice group of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, a large international law firm. Mark has also served as Director and Senior Legal Counsel for Nokia and Senior Counsel for EDS. He began his career as an associate with the banking and finance practice of Johnson & Gibbs, a national Dallas-based law firm.Mark holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Northeast Louisiana University. He has been ranked as a leading lawyer by Chambers and Partners, an international lawyer ranking service, and is featured in the IAM Strategy 300 list of leading IP strategists.
