I created a three year strategic plan working directly with the company owners and guided the company operations. I provided direct oversight of all company operations, contract personnel and customer interfacing. I was the lead for a series of business development initiatives including managing and capture for several large IDIQ proposals. I oversaw the audits for our ISO 9001:2008 and annual security briefings as well as prepared the company for pursuing CMMI certification for services.

I worked with an M&A firm to develop long term strategy on maximizing company value, creating a company strategic plan and establishing a board of advisors. I consistently maintained a high retention rate for employees (exceeded 90%), managing the conversion to the DCAA approved accounting system with most recent upgrade to Deltek, preparing provisional rates and managing costs. I also worked with the benefits broker to increase employee benefits all while reducing costs, leading cost strategies and prepared cost proposals on virtually all submitted RFPs. I developed competitive wrap rates that allowed for aggressive bidding tactics to win new work, creating a highly effective dynamic team environment that resulted in high customer satisfaction scores. I also created annual company-wide budgets as part of a range of policies and procedures to maximize efficiencies.

Vice President IT SystemsNovember 2000 – April 2004I managed over 100 employees including all software development and infrastructure support for business units, including undertaking Program Management responsibilities for a series of enterprise wide complex IT applications. I assisted with the sale of the company, including presenting IT capabilities to potential buyers and supporting due diligence activities. I led the successful effort to expand the Navy’s adoption of complex suite of applications for managing shipbuilding information for over 12 Navy organizations. I also successfully reduced indirect expenses related to Company infrastructure through system reuse and employee realignments. I achieved promotion to lead the Information Technology Division and used marketing and performance based efforts to double the team from 30 to 60 professionals with annual revenues of $7M. I managed the team achieving a 96% retention rate over a two year period while providing a “Return on Sales” of over 20% for every project completed.Department Director, IT Solutions February 1996 – November 2000I developed an IT focused team to enhance contract sales and customer satisfaction, growing the team into a separate department and assumed software development responsibilities for all Navy related contracts. I managed IT functions for a $25m per-annum contract with the Navy, supporting numerous business development activities which effectively doubled the size of the Company. I received a “Government Computer News” award for innovative PDA based IT solution delivered to US Navy. Program Manager / Site Supervisor November 1986 – February 1996I managed a multi-million contract providing the Naval Sea Systems Command with a full range of services including Engineering, Financial and Information Technology. I coordinated the functional analysis actions to develop a series of key database applications for the Aegis Cruiser and Aegis Destroyer programs.
