I am a licensed Professional Engineer with experience in structural assessments, analysis, design, and strengthening, waterproofing, and VDC project coordination. My education includes a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida and a master's degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis from the University of Texas at Austin. During my time at UT Austin, I performed the duties of a Graduate Research Assistant on a research project investigating fatigue in High Mast Illumination Poles (HMIPs).My professional experiences includes performing the duties of a Project Engineer (and later a Senior Project Engineer) at RLG Consulting Engineers and of a Senior Specialist at Pie Consulting & Engineering - A Lerch Bates Company. At RLG, I worked with the Forensics, Design & Strengthening group to assess, analyze, strengthen existing structures, and create project construction documents. Limited new structural design was also performed. This experience included work with commercial, educational, multi-family, and historic structures. At Pie, I worked with the Rehabilitation Science Group to expand my knowledge of the multi-family market. This experience included performing quality assurance observations, structural analysis, and waterproofing design. In 2021 I took a leap of faith and jumped from engineering into virtual design and construction. Since then I have worked as a VDC Project Coordinator the specializes in modeling drywall and structural concrete. My primary desire is to use my knowledge and expertise to give back to my community.
