My main duties involve leading a team of carers to ensure that service users needs are met. Allocate tasks and supervise their progress. Another important aspect of my job is to order, receive and administer medication. It can include assessment of a service user with other health professionals. It is done on regular basis to find the best course of medication that they might benefit from. It involve contacting GP, nurses and pharmacy to follow up on the medication and enquire about their delivery. All aspects of this job are important and put a great deal of responsibility on you. Therefore, good communication and team work is essential. It extends from co-workers to family members and friends, GP, nurses, social workers and other health professionals.
