Championed code quality by leading code reviews across three delivery teams and spearheaded codification of coding standards. Recommended the use of a collaborative code review tool which led to implementation of Crucible. This increased engagement, efficiency, quality, and auditability of code reviews. I participated in source capture’s transition from Struts, Java ServerPages, and EJBs to Spring, microservices, Angular, Hibernate, and Docker. The IDEs used are Eclipse and Visual Studio Code.Major development accomplishments include: Leading monthly department “Lessons Learned” meetings. Prior to the meeting, I review and document the root cause analysis with the developer who worked that issue. In these meetings, I review recent customer issues, review the root cause, and we collaboratively agree on actions to be taken to prevent such issues in the future. Proposing, architecting, and implementing a request filter to prevent privilege escalation. This solution resolved a whole class of security problems identified by our security team. Leading development for a new check processing SOAP service relied upon by one of the top five banks in the United States. In the first year in production it did not have a single production defect production.

I mentor the Scrum Masters and develop and promote Agile standards of excellence across three delivery teams. This department-level leadership role demands excellent planning, writing, and presentation skills. Additional achievements include: Developing Jira dashboards and metrics used by all the teams  Providing guidance in the bi-weekly Scrum of Scrums, an implementation of scaled Agile Leading the department’s migration from VersionOne to Jira in April 2018

Served as Scrum Master for the team that responds to urgent customer problems for Fiserv’s check imaging application. During the constant barrage of urgent issues, I use Agile tools and principles to help team members clarify priorities and maintain focus on achieving goals and delivering on commitments. These Agile methodologies include: Leading daily stand up meetings Verifying story quality Ensuring acceptance criteria are defined and achieved Facilitating bi-weekly retrospectives and promoting continuous improvement Initiating and leading the team’s transition from Scrum to Kanban in 2018 to align with the unplanned nature of this team’s work.As one of the first Scrum Masters in my department, I was a key participant in our transformation from waterfall to Agile methodologies.
