I am a creative design professional who has spent 3 decades honing my design and creative skillset with Nordstrom where began my career as a Visual Manager for the Nordstrom location in San Mateo, CA. Soon after I relocated to New York to take over as Visual Manager for the high-end men’s and women’s brand Faconnable.During my decades-long tenure with Nordstrom I progressed through positions of increasing scope and responsibility for both Nordstrom and Faconnable in Seattle, Nice, France, and New York City locations and led the store design team for Nordstrom’s flagship store design located in New York City. What drives me is my love for the creative process and the collaboration that comes with it. From ideation to final execution, I have led the design and installation of hundreds of stores and concepts. I am an avid learner who has developed a keen understanding of how a great design promotes the customer journey from end-to-end visual merchandising and store design ideation to concept development and execution. I have had the privilege and honor of working alongside some of the best and most notable manufacturers, artisans, and consultants and have maintained and leveraged relationships built on mutual trust and respect. On a personal note, my interests include gardening, running, cooking, community service, home DIY, and travel.I’m currently open to a new job opportunity, so if you have something that might fit email me at markmaclachlan@mac.com
