About Mark Mcgrath

Following the successful completion of a Masters of Education (with a focus on Math's Learning), I changed career in 2009 to setup a private tuition business in Mathematics education for all Second and Third level students. As well as being the owner of the business, I acted as senior tutor. The business has been scaled back since the COVID-19 pandemic.Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I have worked in a formal secondary school environment as a Mathematics Teacher at all levels.I am also a Mathematics Examiner with the State Examinations Commission, and have been for over 16 years. I am also an experienced teacher in the Adult and Further Education sectors which I formalised with a Post Graduate Diploma (Level 9) in Adult & Further Education in 2024 at Mary Immaculate College (UL).Other Education roles include Teacher of Education and Student Teacher placement Tutor at Third Level.I have also over the past few years worked on a number of software development projects (external contracts) in the Medical Device space using OOP while also enhancing my IT skill set as well, completing a M.Sc in Electronic and Computer Technology (IoT) and a Post Graduate Certificate (Level 9) in Blockchain Security.Prior to 2009, I was a very experienced IT Manager, Project Manager, Business & Systems Analyst and Software Developer with over 20 years in industry
