Mark is currently the elected member for Blain in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly.Mark previously worked in law enforcement as both an experienced investigator and crisis negotiator in both a local and national context. He was an active member of the Northern Territory Police Association board of Directors only resigning to contest the Northern Territory General Election.Mark is member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and was also recently the recipient of the 2019 National Police Bravery Award with his colleague from the Police Negotiation Unit, Ms Linda Farrand.Mark grew up in London and worked briefly in IT before moving into law enforcement where he has spent nearly two decades of his career.Mark started his career in London (UK) being commended for tackling a man that pulled a firearm on him and his colleagues in 2004 before enjoying the challenges of remote and regional Australia after emigrating in 2009.
