I'm a highly skilled consultant psychiatrist of 23 years plus experience at Consultant level and 29 years as a doctor, I'm focusing on both service users' and staff well being and satisfaction, whilst applying evidence based approaches and co-design technique. Keen mentor and coach supporting those around me to reach their full potential.During 29 years as a doctor I've gathered experiences across a range of services including private healthcare and the NHS in both inpatient and outpatient settings in 3 different countries and healthcare systems.My special interests are bipolar affective disorder, mood disorders of any kind and psychotic disorders, including challenging behaviours regardless of their underlying causes, as well as psycho-pharmacology & psychotherapeutic interventions and all of these with patient-centred approach at the core of my care and treatment.I'm well regarded for my contributions to medical education as well as operational clinical leadership. I've implemented a patient based experience group on my NHS ward based on co-design leading to this widely being recognised about the importance to involve service users about their care to achieve better outcomes.
