Manage and effectively coordinate the warehouse, purchasing and internal sales teams to ensure they have clear objectives, are organised and productive. Responsible for managing internal sales and overseeing the purchasing of raw materials, services or any product that the organisation may require in order to carry out their business and operate as necessary.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES• Develop budgets and approve expenditures within the authority level for supplies, materials and human resources, ensuring that materials, labour and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.• Develop standard operating procedures for goods receipt, storage and dispatch.• Implement a continuous improvement process to deliver performance against benchmarks.• Work closely with regional managers to ensure consignment locations, agents and distributors are conforming to stock control and distributor agreements.• Forecasting for the levels of demand (production and sales) to satisfy business needs and keep a constant check on stock levels to maximise business efficiency.• Oversee the research of best products and best suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality, taking global supply agreements into consideration with the purchaser.• Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.• Identify new suppliers, build and maintaining good relationships.• Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities.• Oversee all facets of internal sales.• Ensure the sales team has a high level of customer focus.• Liaise with the area sales managers on product and logistical matters.• Ensure export procedures are adhered too.• Communicate with freight forwarders, pre-empt any issues so the customers are informed of rate changes, border control issues or other delays.

Manage all internal and outbound logistical operations for both Wadeville and Duncanville plants. Manage all finished and WIP inventory at both plants. Manage Production planning in conjunction with Production planners at both plants.

Managing both departments currently while replacement Logistics Manager is being sought.

Establish new international markets and client relationships.Grow exports sales inline with forecasts.

Client relations, Follow up on tender issuing by clients, Estimating and submitals of tenders, Follow up on tender adjudications, Confirmation if order/projects received, Project management of successful tenders to close out.

Drawing and issuing of R&D drawings as well as production drawings, procurement of raw materialsand consumables for production, production planning.
