- During my post-doc at M.I.T in Cambridge, MA I studied the kinetics of gas combustion on noble metal catalysts using CFD simuations. - Starting at the Alstom Technology centre I continued the work on catalysis ( Product development) by designing & developing combustion catalysts, in 2 EU supported projects, CATHLEAN (Catalytic Lean Combustion) & AZEP (Advanced Zero emission project). - Project Manager for CO2 Policy & Mitigation Technologies the time when the Kyoto protocol came into force and the EU ETS in its infancy, covering all carbon markets aspects and regulations (CDM, JI) etc., thereby, organizing and increasing a company internal CO2 community (colleagues related to carbon mitigation technologies and marketing) - Representative of Alstom in various international bodies, the EU Zero Emission Platform (ZEP), the IEA Green- House-Gas - Prinicpal engineer: Assessment of technologies (Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS), photovoltaic, energy storage) with respect to their future potential (technical performance, market shares, cost reduction). - Methodoloy development for accounting CO2 emissions for the Alstom power plant portfolio (sustainability) due to ISO norm, audited by PWC France.Specialties: broad knowledge on CCS technologies, photovoltaics, carbon & environmental markets
