Nawras, a joint venture between Qatar’s Qtel, European telecommunications company TDC and several prominent Omani partners launched as the second mobile operator in Oman in March 2005 and won over 2 million customers in its first 7 years of operations. In 2010, Nawras launched fixed services based on Fibre and WiMax and was listed on the Muscat Securities Market.In charge of Business Planning & Pricing, Customer and Market Insights, Product Management, Customer Relations, Marcoms, Branding and Corporate Affairs for operations exceeding USD 500m in revenues, with profit contribution responsibility. Significantly improved the competitiveness of Nawras’ value proposition by launching a number of innovative products and promotions (0902 International VoIP calling, weekly/monthly prepaid mobile broadband plans, first premium SMS competition in Oman, first points-based loyalty scheme). Drove aggressive acquisition campaigns to gain share of fixed market.Achievements: - Grew revenues from Mobile Broadband by 28% YOY - Increased Home Broadband market share from 10% to 26% YOY
