I am a software designer with a predilection for complex problems and algorithms. My background can be summarized as DevOps - in other words, it includes SW Architecture/Design, Continuous Delivery, Configuration Management, Unix/LInux IT, and Open Source.Despite some specialist knowledge, my business motivation is not focused on a specific tool or programming language, but the implementation of easy-to-use solutions which minimize recurrent manual work. In other words: to turn some boring work tasks into more qualified ones, and to help shaping a work climate which leaves room for creativity.I see SCM, ALM, PDM, PLM, Continunous Integration, and Continuous Delivery as essential helper disciplines on the road towards business success.I am proud to establish solutions with a minimal maintenance footprint. My record so far includes build and release/packaging systems, usability improvements, IT transformations, and the invention and implementation of a complex high-security access solution, all from local to corporate/global levels.I like working in distributed, international teams, and have successfully founded a corporate network.I have developed a strong preference to use Open Source Software - participation in defect fixing and being part those teams can be extremely rewarding fun, and a real business enabler.I am a generalist with IT affinity - for some design and implementation tasks, life is much more fun with official full access. As a consequence, I am a Unix/Linux expert occasionally forced to use regedit on my laptop.Acting sometimes as a conference speaker is fun, but I know that skills and expertise are usually built on everyday experience.I hold a master degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering. My private interests include music (piano, choir) and occasional carpentry.I started developing analog and digital hardware as well as team-oriented solutions at the age of 13.
Listed skills include Clearcase, Unix, Perl, Solaris, and 46 others.
