CIO and HIPAA Security Officer of Fortune 1000 company responsible for Operational and Capital budgets, and 260+ staff of full-time employees, contractors (on-shore and off-shore) and consultants. Responsible for all IT vision, strategy, goal-setting, architecture, operations, development, and quality assurance. Championed modernization strategy of legacy iSeries systems to improve business agility, lower operating costs, and improve data quality and outcomes. Led cultural transformation to become an organization embracing continuous improvement, first-time quality, agile, and metrics. PharMerica was purchased by private equity KKR during my tenure.

Championed Lean Management and Agile transformation of IT division. Maintained all systems and programs to support 500% growth in employees and 275% growth in revenue. Company was honored with Tampa Fast 50 award as the #2 fastest growing company by revenue. Developed and maintained Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans for all company sites. Drove development of corporate business intelligence system and data warehouse.

Co-founder and Principal of Agency Workflow Automation (AWA), a web-based software company of life and health Agency Management and Benefits Administration systems, including sales force automation, client servicing agency management, and commission tracking. Negotiated sale of business to Agency Management Systems (AMS) in July 2003. Within three years, AMS Benefits experienced exponential growth supporting more than 325 benefit agencies across the Unites States (2500+ users), including the 6th largest insurance agency in the country, BB&T Insurance Services.

Served as technical lead over programmers and consultants responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Healthy Moms/Healthy Kids (HM/HK) application for the city of Chicago. Responsible for all database design and performance tuning of the large client-server system and Sybase database.

Graduate of the EDS Systems Engineering Development Program in Plano, TX. Created Logical and Physical Data Models and Entity Relationship Diagrams used in the development of a large Local Government project for Cobb County, GA. Worked on several teams as a systems engineer developing Medicaid claims systems for various state governments. Worked closely with government officials on regulations, certifications, integration, testing, and production support.
