As CEO of the Swedish Energy Research Centre (Energiforsk) I lead one of the major players on the Nordic energy arena. We initiate, manage and finance applied energy research that adress the major societal challenges of today: climate change, energy security, economic growth and competitiveness. Our annual turnover is around €15 million, three quarters of which come industry clients. Before taking up my current position, I managed the energy team at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, Sweden’s largest research- and consulting organisation in the sustainability field. I have also been head of the Energy Supply Technology unit at the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, in charge of the long term scenario work of the agency. Combining technology and economic analysis for effective policy and business strategies forms the core of my professional experience. I have 20 years of experience from work on energy policy, technology and climate change, and have published numerous scientific papers and book chapters, as well as a large number of reports and working papers. I am fortunate to often be engaged as a public speaker.
