After college, I was hired on to John Deere, a Fortune 500 agricultural equipment company. I started off as a Web Content Analyst at Deere in charge of a John Deere parts ordering website creating and updating web content. My main duties were to integrate off-line promotion initiatives with online content which established a marketing-driven approach to the JDParts.com website. After this position, I was moved to an Electronic Communications Specialist position where I was in charge of all digital communications for the marketing and advertising department. I helped bring about e-mail marketing campaigns to our department and managed web content for websites. I worked extensively with outside vendors and cross-divisional departments to identify customer segments for mailing lists.I joined Penton Media in January 2011 as an Online Marketing Specialist working with their Agriculture Market. I was hired as a Social Media/Web Analyst in January 2013 with the City of Kansas City, Mo. I was there for 6.5 years before moving on to manage social media for Johnson County, KS Government.
