Leading two teams, one in data space and another in backend / micro-service.

I enjoyed working with Rakuten team on their newest mobile eSIM management product. The team was diverse, with people working remotely from Ukraine, India, Australia, and communicated very well, all in English. I took the role of front-end engineer for a short term because I had to return to the US in January. Nevertheless, we were able to make significant progress on the application in a very short time.The tech stack was ReactJS with Typescript.

This was a team collaboration platform for software developers, which I started developing and promoting in Japan. I was a one-person company, trying to fulfill every role.The product tech stack is Svelte and nodeJS for the VSCode extension, VueJS, nodeJS and MongoDB for the account portal website, and nodeJS, C++ for the OS local service.

At Xica Japan, I was in charge of leading a team of 5 engineers working on a full-stack project for the advertising industry. During my first month there I was able to convert the Django project to a split Django API and an independent VueJS SPA repository. I really enjoyed working with people there, as we were all from different countries and even though we were struggling to communicate in Japanese with one another, we learned a lot from each other and our product was getting better and better.During the 2 years at Xica I was involved with many aspects of the project, from technical hands-on nodeJS, python, vueJS, AWS management and configuration, to interviewing and training new hires, and participating in client events.

As a lead software developer, I was in charge of Salesforce integration into one of Boston Scientific's mobile apps. My team was working remotely, spread across MN, CA, and India. I was hands-on mobile side only, while working with the team on the Salesforce portal and backend.

Working as a volunteer developer on various website components, administration and backend, reporting. Built a new presentation system, onsite during Anime Expo 2014.Also worked as a volunteer IT Manager at Anime Expo 2013.

This was a contract to create a health care integration service with an external vendor, using nodejs. The service had quite a complex architecture, utilizing queues and several internal apis. The external vendor required api throttling (ensuring the number of requests per second stays below a set limit). I've built quite a few unit tests to ensure that all the complex scenarios are covered, to the best of my knowledge.

At Ristken / TailLight I learned a lot from their excellent team. That was when I started working with nodeJS, microservices, mongoDB, and reddis, and it was also when I started leading short hackathons to improve our collaboration and technology understanding.
