Selected to start the traineeship, a programme focussed on developing hard and soft skills. Gained experienced in financial markets and joined the (product-agnostic) advisory team for stock listed companies.

Analysed the risks of brittle fracture by LNG (-162°C) spillage on board a floating gas liquefaction facility (FLNG). Performed theoretical and experimental structural analyses. Presented concluding results and preventive solutions.The research resulted in a paper "Impact of cryogenic spills on FLNG hulls" that was published in Trends in the Analysis and Design of Marine Structures: Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Marine Structures (2019)

Made workability studies that were used in sales pitches to clients by modelling the actual motion of ships and the Ampelmann system in different sea conditions.

Worked 30 days offshore on a floating oil platform at the Timor Sea (Australia). Reviewed procedures and proposed creative solutions to increase efficiency.
