With more than 30 years of experience in Networking, Data Centre, Cloud, Wi-Fi, Network Security and Cyber Security, 12 of which as an Asia Pacific technology leader in sales, solutions engineering and product management, Mark has a sound understanding of how to design, build, deploy and support complex infrastructure, determine the right organizational infrastructure strategy and build successful regional technical teams. Mark’s most recent experience was working as the VP of Solutions Engineering, Asia Pacific at Darktrace, a global leader in Cybersecurity focused on novel threat detection and response using advanced AI. This provided Mark with strong insights into how to build a comprehensive Cybersecurity strategy for any sized organization and the most appropriate tools to build Cyber resilience. In addition, Mark led the education of Darktrace customers and partners about their obligations under the SOCI act and how the application of AI can be used to both detect and respond to novel threats outside of conventional cybersecurity tools.Prior to Darktrace, Mark led the Asia Pacific and Japan Systems Engineering and Product management teams at HPE Aruba networking. Mark spent 18 years at HPE Aruba Networking. Before he led the systems engineering team, Mark was one of the top system engineers globally having designed and deployed many large and complex Wi-Fi, switching and network security integrated solutions across all major industry verticals. Before taking on Asia Pacific responsibilities, Mark designed the largest centralized Wi-Fi network in Aruba’s history for a government organization which is still in use today. Mark’s experience leading a regional product management team has provided him with an understanding of how to launch new products and solutions to both technical and sales teams, build the correct GTM strategy and measure the execution success of the strategy.Mark was a regular contributor to various technology thought leadership publications across Asia Pacific and a regular speaker at Darktrace and HPE Aruba Networking events.Mark has received many company awards and was also the recipient of the ARN ICT Industry award for Personal Innovation Technical Excellence in 2017.
