I’m a retired professional goaltender achieving stints in the NHL, earning a silver and bronze medal with Team Canada, winning multiple league awards, and setting an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) record for most shutouts in one season. From a young age, parents asked “What do you think you want to do one day?” I would look them in the eye and tell them "I will play in the NHL." They laughed; I didn’t - I meant it. I always had that feeling deep down that I could do it. The path to get there wasn't smooth going through lots of highs, lows, and mental & physical challenges. I wouldn't trade it for anything.Throughout my career, the life lessons I've learned from hockey have formed me into the individual I am today. I learned how to be resilient, battle through adversity, and perform under extreme pressure. I went from being a shy and quiet kid to one who played the game with a burning passion to compete. I never really had a mentor that had been through what I was about to endure while being a professional goalie. Now, my goal is to give every child the education and mentorship I wish I had at their age. I pride myself in building a strong base for each goalie that begins with basic foundational skills that most kids lack. After the foundational skills are mastered, we move on to the more dynamic skills required to play at an elite level. Goalies will never be put through random drills; they’re taught everything from the ground up in proper order so they can implement the techniques AND understand why they are doing it. I take notes every session to ensure each goalie gets the proper development plan. This is the best way to help goalies develop their skills versus being thrown into random drills put together for a training session.I currently offer private lessons at the Powerplay Training Centre in Burlington, Ontario. Goalie training sessions can be booked online for 30 or 60 minutes.
