- Develop exhaust emission concentration models to determine the need for exhaust treatment systems and to support air permit requirements. - Develop chemical and gas usage models. - Perform code limit analysis based on the gas and chemical usage. - Make recommendations to the end users and end users’ Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) representative on different strategies to make their facility code compliant. - Work with the end users’ EH&S department to ensure all applicable codes, regulations, and policies are followed in the design. - Review gas and chemical room layouts to ensure that gas and chemical are segregated based on their compatibilities. - Advised on code requirements for the facilities that we design. - Design the toxic gas monitoring system portion of the overall Life Safety System to include the gases to be monitored, the areas to be monitored, the approximate location of the sensors, and appropriate responses to each alarm condition. - Develop specifications to procure gas dispensing equipment, gas delivery systems, life safety systems, exhaust treatment systems, and some process equipment for a semiconductor facility. - Prepare additional chemical and gas documents to be presented to the Authority Having Jurisdiction to demonstrate code compliance for each rated area and to obtain occupancy permits. - Perform safety audits of our client’s facility and advise them on code violations, safety issues, and safety concerns. Make recommendations for corrective action(s) to correct the noted deficiencies.- Received RCRA training to better assist our clients with their waste management.
