Developed a first of its kind response protocol for serving Newark’s homeless population which included supportive health and social services, rapid re-housing and eviction prevention, and development of the largest shelter program in Newark to date; a first in its history resulting in a re-housing of 99% of Newark’s homeless population. Maximizes the scale and impact of the Mayor by proving tactical consulting on various healthcare-related policies, initiatives, and partnership opportunities. Serves as Newark’s official COVID-19 response lead, resulting in a decrease from 68% case positivity at the height of the first wave in April 2020 to less than 2% test positivity by mid-August 2020, bringing Newark national recognition. Leads the development and implementation of Newark’s COVID-19 Vaccine Program, which includes extensive community outreach and education efforts. Responsibilities also include serving as CEO of the Mary Eliza Mahoney Health Care Center (MEMHC), the federally qualified health care center that serves the largest percentage of disenfranchised and marginalized clients classified as living in “extreme poverty” in the city.
