I am Head of Marketing at AbilityNet, a £5m UK social enterprise that works with blue-chip companies in all sectors and runs a network of 300+ volunteers who help disabled people use technology. I am a creative and values-driven leader, focused on building a highly trusted brand and working with stakeholders at every level of global and national organisations in all sectors to achieve our commercial and social goals. For the past 11 years I have been central to AbilityNet's commercial and charitable success, developing a consistent marketing calendar which has built our reputation as thought leaders in field of digital accessibility. As well as leading our B2B and B2C marketing efforts I organise TechShare Pro, Europe's largest event accessibility conference, hosted this year by HSBC and sponsored by Google, Microsoft, Sony and many others. I also run the AbilityNet Tech4Good Awards, a global programme celebrating people who are using tech to make the world a better place.As well as TechShare Pro and Tech4Good Awards this includes webinars, podcasts and a variety of face-to-face and online events. I have built highly effective relationships with global partners such as Google and Microsoft, and grown a team of marketing specialists who now deliver a high-level of qualified leads to our excellent sales team.I am a very confident public-speaker and host a variety of events, including work with partners to facilitate events for their clients. I've been online since the early 90s, so am always comfortable using and adopting new digital tactics. I am currently working with our team to weave AI into our workflows and improve our reporting and dashboards.For the past three years I have led the development of our Digital Accessibility Maturity Model, working with senior stakeholders at global brands to reflect on current strengths and weaknesses and build a roadmap to meet their commercial and compliance goals.I am a trained journalist and adult education trainer and have written and published books about Marketing and IT.
