We have split the engineering group into four pillars and I am responsible for the platform pillar. I manage five teams with team members across the globe as well as coordinate all cross-pillar communication in and out of the platform pillar.

The company focuses on helping senior level management teams better understand their business by interpreting all of their data, including bookings, customer, geographic trends, retention, etc. My role is to understand the backend data, stored in Snowflake, and expose it in ways that help Bryce and Co. present it to the executive team in order to drive business decisions. At the request of my employer (Ivanti), I worked with Bryce and Co. to discover business trends, track financials and eventually propose new MSRP values across all product SKUs which led to positive, sustained growth in late 2019 and throughout 2020.

Responsible for the engineering efforts of the second-highest grossing product in the company. Temporarily relocated to Bangalore, India to stabilize the attrition rate, hire a new site leader, train local management team and introduce/reinforce agile principles resulting in increased product quality, consistent decrease in escaped bugs (month over month for 9 months). Transitioned complete ownership of the product to the site, energized the management team as well as individual contributing employees and successfully released products on time and within budget.

Managed development teams on both on-premises and cloud products; worked with UX and PM to implement a Discovery process; introduced a new feature, built a team and achieved daily releases to the cloud; managed and motivated individuals in multiple geographies including Australia, Germany and England as well as remote employees in the U.S.; mentored an engineering manager in Beijing, China and helped him be successful in his home country. Consistently hit release targets on time and within budget.

Consistently performed as a developer, doing what it took to meet deadlines and finally reaching the Sr. Principal software engineer level. Focused on C++ and C#, contributed to every aspect of the flagship on-premises product (LANDesk Management Suite / Ivanti Endpoint Manager), but had primary responsibility for the database and all data coming in and queries pulling data out. Basically, owned the data flow from the RESTful web service to the database. Investigated and introduced a process for innovation and successfully launched four features using the innovation process, one per quarter. Team and tech lead for numerous years and lead teammates locally, remotely in the U.S. and in Beijing, China.
