With over forty years as a practicing attorney, I focus my practice on representing individuals and businesses in matters related to insurance law, health law, and civil litigation. In addition to standard commercial suits, a large portion of my work includes representing physicians, nurses, and med spas facing board complaints. And a hallmark of my practice is assisting physicians challenge provider reimbursements in order to increase collections.As the former counsel to the Insurance Liquidator of Texas and a former insurance company executive, I also represent a diverse client base in a wide range of insurance and corporate related areas both domestic and internationally, including matters of legal compliance, reinsurance, agent issues, policy interpretation, captives, and if necessary, those pertaining to solvency, including rehabilitation and/or receivership. Aside from a devotion to the law, I have been widely published in American legal/constitutional history and military history with a special emphasis on the American Civil War and have held teaching positions at several universities.
