Oakridge Energy is a Limited Partnership of Corix Infrastructure Inc. (Corix) and Creative Energy, established to meet the thermal energy needs of the upcoming Oakridge Centre redevelopment through a low-carbon, district energy solution. This partnership is leveraging the engineering expertise and operational experience of two key players in the district energy space within British Columbia.Oakridge Energy is designing, building and operating a large low-carbon district energy system to provide space heating, domestic water heating, and space cooling to meet the needs of the entire Oakridge ReDevelopment.The District Energy System is comprised of the Central Energy Plant of 2,880 square metres containing the following equipment:• Seven (7) Chillers (8000 tonnes)• Eight (8) Cooling Towers (8000 tonnes)• Four (4) Natural Gas Boilers (5 MWt each)• Two (2) Electric Boilers (1.75 MWt each)• Two (2) Heat Pumps for the GeoExchange field and Heat Recovery system (1.2 MWt each)• One (1) High-Temperature Heat Pump for the GeoExchange field and Heat Recovery system(2.6 MWt)• One (1) Heat Exchanger for dewatering heat recovery (250 kWt)• Two (2) GeoExchange manifold roomsThe geo-exchange field will be a closed-loop system of 837 boreholes to a depth of 250 feet. The Oakridge Centre redevelopment is a joint venture project between Westbank Corp. and QuadReal Property Group. Oakridge Centre currently has approximately 800,000 sq. ft. of floor area that is home to shops, services, entertainment, offices, and community and residential space. The Oakridge Centre redevelopment is a 5 million sq. ft. project that will include:14 towers with 2,600 homes and nearly half a million sq. ft. of workspace for 3,000 creative economy workers, on a million sq. ft. of retail space.

- Reported to the VP, Engineering (Operations) - responsible for the total asset management and day-to-day engineering operations of BC Ferries’ fleet of 35 vessels and 600 marine engineers who crew, operate and maintain the vessels - Duties include the direct management of 7 engineering superintendents, an annual Engineering operating budget of $100 M for the vessel refits, maintenance and engineering labour; and an average annual capital budget of $30 M for major vessel upgrades - Overall responsibility for developing and implementing a systematic process of maintaining, upgrading and operating BC Ferries’ fleet in a cost-effective, safe, highly reliable and efficient manner

- Reported directly to the Commanding Officer (Fleet Maintenance Facility employing 1,200 ship repair specialists) with overall business and project responsibility for a highly complex naval project that specifically deals with a first of class mid-life refit and modernization of one of Canada’s four submarines. The project duration was five years with a cost of $200 M, 2 M production labour hours and 186,000 work breakdown structures (WBS). - Duties include the direct management of 6 core team project managers; encompassing, but not limited to the areas of production, engineering, contracts, quality, materials, finance, planning/scheduling, and human resources, totaling a workforce of over 300 unionized personnel in direct support of the project- Developed the refit project component of overall unit strategic plan. These processes and plans supported a large third line activity and promoted improved project management concepts and greater inter-departmental cooperation.

- Reported to the Project Director and led a core engineering team of over 60 military and unionized civilian personnel to support the production team of the Fleet Maintenance Facility (800 personnel) and diverse sub-contractor teams of Devonport Marine Ltd. (UK), Victoria Shipyard Ltd., and Weir Strachan & Henshaw (UK)- Expertly dealt with over 190 highly complex and detailed core refit specifications and maintenance routines, covering every shipboard engineering system

- Reported to the Commanding Officer (highly complex Frigate with over 230 ship personnel) and managed the engineering department (55 personnel) to meet and exceed all maintenance and operational requirements of main propulsion, auxiliary, and ancillary machinery on board a modern diesel and gas turbine powered Canadian Patrol Frigate - Oversaw all marine engineering aspects of ship’s $4 M Docking Work Period (Jul – Sept 02), taking the ship from a low readiness state through six months of test and trials into the highest state of operational engineering readiness for deployment - Deployed for six months to the Persian Gulf in support of the war on terrorism (OP APOLLO) and maintained the utmost level of engineering-at-sea readiness ever of any deployed Canadian naval ship. During deployed operations, managed three separate short work periods in Jebel Ali, UAE.

- Reported to the President and was responsible for province-wide sales and marketing operations of an enterprising brewery in the highly competitive beer industry in Ontario - Oversaw all human resources/management of the sales and marketing team

- Reported to the Dean of Mechanical Engineering and was responsible for teaching three core university mechanical engineering courses (Advanced Control Systems, Applied Dynamics of Mechanical Systems, and Propulsion Systems and Combustion Engines) to 3rd and 4th year undergraduate engineering students

- Oversaw the training of all West Coast Naval personnel (approximately 3,500 per year) in Damage Control (firefighting, flooding, etc.) - Managed a staff of 30 engineering technicians, technologists and firefighters to meet all training, administration, personnel, and maintenance requirements of the Section
