• Responsible for the proper functioning of all administrative activities, including the coordination of communications, for the Office of the President, SUNY Maritime College. Serves as an integral member administration.

Responsible for business development and marketing for VSTEP, a leading developer of simulators and virtual training software. Using interactive 3D technology from the computer gaming industry, VSTEP creates training applications and games that allows people to build their skills in a practical and cost effective way. VSTEP develops professional training.

Led the largest Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) unit in the U.S. (350 students) and served as the Chair, of Naval Science at the Univesity of San Diego and San Diego State University with the Rank of Professor.

• Coordinated operations and exercises with 12 countries. Led 60-person team in planning and conducting operations and exercises involving 100 ships and submarines. Managed an annual budget of over $200M.
• Responsible for planning and coordinating the largest bi-annual naval exercise series in the world: Rim of the Pacific. This exercised involved over 35 ships and submarines, 100 aircraft and 17,000 personnel from nine.
• Directed a detailed analysis of the return of investment for fuel usage for training and operations and developed a new usage model.
• Established a Homeland Security Department with no additional funding or personnel cost by developing a matrix team organization.
• Implemented the first homeland defense exercises in the Pacific Ocean with US Coast Guard, US Air Force, numerous federal, state, and local agencies
• Briefed and numerous Admirals, Generals and other dignitaries on fleet operations and homeland defense operations and exercises.

• Led 20-person team in the execution of a six ship carrier strike group operations. Responsible for planning and overseeing the employment, operations, exercises, and training of six ships and operating the command.
• Planned and executed deployment around South America which included exercises with five nations.
• Developed concept of operations for a new aircraft carrier command center.
• Responsible for briefing numerous dignitaries to include US ambassadors and vice presidents and parliamentary members during port and ship visits.Developed post 9/11 force protection plans for US Navy nuclear carrier.

• Responsible for making crucial and timely decisions affecting the safety of 350+ member crew and destroyer worth over $1 billion. Responsible for health and welfare of crew and ensuring assigned operations conducted.
• Commanded one of the first mixed gender crews; successfully integrated women into all aspects of ship operations and levels of responsibility.
• Planned and led crew during a six month deployment to the Arabian Gulf during which the ship conducted maritime enforcement operations in support of United Nations sanctions against Iraq.
• Recognized for crew exceeding navy-wide advancement and retention goals
