National Association Of Conservation Districts
Served on government affairs team focusing on issues under the Department of the Interior and the House and Senate Natural Resources Committees, including endangered species, public lands and forestry, wild horses and burros, and energy policy. Regularly drafted Association comments on regulatory matters for different rulemakings. Successfully explored and established partnerships for conservation matters including energy producers, mining companies, hunting and fishing organizations, forestry, and agribusiness. Represented the 12 western states and five territories as a field representative as well as served as a staff adviser to Association committees and task forces.Accomplishments included:• Co-founding of National Horse and Burro Rangeland Management Coalition.• Renegotiated of Memorandum of Understanding between Association and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).• Established new Memorandum of Understanding between Association and Indian Nations Conservation Alliance (INCA)• Expansion of presence and engagement of conservation districts within the Department of the Interior and its bureaus.
