Managed operational functions of the Master’s degree program, directly supporting two C-level Program Directors, 10 Faculty, 20 contract employees, and 32 students.• BUDGET: Planned and tracked annual program budget including operation expenses, contract employee salary, and special events.• STAFF: Hire, schedule, and supervise a roster of 20-25 specialized contract employees, including models, pattern cutters, tailors, and equipment mechanics.• SCHEDULING: Schedule department meetings, student onboarding, weekly critiques, guest lectures, and weekly fit models from NY agencies. • SPACE MANAGEMENT: Manage and book conference rooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums on campus for standard operation and special events.• VENDOR RELATIONS: Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with external industry partners, including vendors, sponsors, and collaborators.• INDUSTRY RELATIONS: Coordinate site visits to leading design houses, factories, and showrooms within NYC, Brooklyn, and New Jersey.• EQUIPMENT & INVENTORY: Oversee equipment and supply inventories for the program’s studio spaces, which included a cut-and-sew factory of 42 industrial machines and a suite of 12 industrial knitting machines, occupying a full factory floor off Union Square. • SAFETY: Maintain standards of safe facilities operation as prescribed by The New School and Director of Buildings, including bi-annual trainings for emergency preparedness and response.
