I currently teach 6th-8th ELA AIS (academic intervention service) I also co-teach 8th grade English. In previous years I've taught Math AIS k-2, consultant teacher for 7th grade ELA, as well as was the teacher of Students' with Disabilities for grades k-1. Teach high school seniors the in's and outs of applying to college, scholarships, and financial aid. Students also learn how to write the best college application essay possible.Upward Bound specifically services students who are the first in their family to seek and potentially obtain a 4yr Bachelor's degree or more.

Taught in a 6-1-2 multi-age classroom setting, students age ranging from 6-14. Students lived in the facility with hospitalization status. Students there had extreme behavioral and academic deficiencies. During the summer, I taught an exploratory Science program in which we spent the majority of time outside exploring and learning about nature and Physical Science. Students created a terrarium for toads they had captured, fed them daily (they caught the food themselves), as well as maintained the cleanliness of the tank. Students also observed and recorded behaviors and mannerisms of the toads daily.
