Hello!My name is Marlaina Dowell and graduate of the Bachelor of Interior Design program at Algonquin College. I am also a graduate of the one-year program of Design Studies program completed at Algonquin College. Ever since I can remember, I have always been super passionate about arts and design. Throughout my studies and my current employment I have learned a lot of valuable skills that I can contribute to my future team. I work well in team settings, very observant, punctual, organized and hard working. While balancing my studies and part-time employment, it has taught me a lot about managing and prioritizing my time when it comes to deadlines. Throughout my studies, I have learned a ton of skills that can contribute to my future as an upcoming interior designer. My skills include hand drafting, hand rendering, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I am also knowledgeable about all of the different design phases. I have learnt a lot and completed projects for residential, commercial, corporate design, and currently learning about healthcare design. I am also currently learning about the Ontario Building Code to further my knowledge on different codes in the industry. I am open and willing to learn new things, as well I am eager to be contributing my skills within the industry.
