I have been the head coach since Goshukan Karate Academy UK division established in January 2019. I use my vast sports science and strength and conditioning knowledge to focus on the sports karate element at present. I am currently working with the number 1 female athlete in the UK, who is on the Olympic Pathway adding sports science and strength and conditioning to her training regime in order to elicit the best from her in order to qualify for the Olympics. I am the head coach of a team consisting of 36 students who vary in age and grades. I takey team around the world competing in various tournaments with great success both domestically and internationally. We are a member of CIKA World and the EKF.

I am a highly experienced strength and conditioning coach, sports scientist and fully qualified level 3 sports therapist. I currently work with clients in my studio, their own homes and online using my sports science knowledge to get the best results. I work with clients of various abilities with various limitations including doing performance consulting, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning. I expanded my repertoire to include sports therapy as my clients were asking for this alongside their training. My clients are now able to train to their optimum levels as they have a sports therapist they trust. I am a strength and conditioning consultant where I have been involved in the planning of programmes and performance profiling of junior commonwealth pathway athletes, semi professional tennis player and MMA fighters. I use a variety of sports specific scientific testing and my extensive knowledge of energy pathways, physiology and biomechanics to develop elite training programmes and performance profiles.

I was the National Karate Coach for GKR in the London area for numerous years. I developed a group of students and transformed them into sports karateka who travelled abroad to compete in tournaments throughout Europe. The squad under my leadership won the Goju Cup in Hungary, competed in Sardinia, Leece, Australia, Belgium and Dublin where we came back with numerous medals and most importantly, we developed a name for GKR in sports karate. I developed numerous World Champions and took a team to Australia in 2017 to compete in the GKR World Cup. I was highly commended by Croydon Council at the 2014 Croydon Champion Awards for my work in karate.
