I rely on my skills as a writer, editor and communication manager to develop and execute content and information that helps people in organizations work better together. I have experience in print, web, broadcast, social media, and whatever the next wave brings. I can help a business or organization with communications expertise as well as handling the nuts and bolts of writing and developing supporting content for all types of media.There is a common thread to my employment history, and it is my skills as a writer, editor and communications manager. I have been involved in communication-based projects and have held a variety of positions throughout my career, starting as an advertising copywriter, progressing to a team leader/advertising production manager, communication specialist, communication manager, and earning other titles and positions related to communications. I have a variety of technical skills in web, graphics and the general production and design of media, including all of Microsoft Office, as well as Adobe products, Sharepoint, Omniture, and gamut of social media outlets. I have managed teams in creative direction as well as content. I understand the importance of proofreading and editing to exceed quality standards and to ensure that corporate image is upheld. I also have skills in academic research, and could fit into an organization that needs that type of niche communications expert.In addition to my more recent career experience in adult education, I have worked in large (Fortune 500) and small (local non-profit) organizations. Ultimately, I believe my strongest skill is being able to create a positive, relatable message to the people who need to know.
