As the Director of Operations at TechnoEdge Learning, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Company as well as its growth in the marketplace. TechnoEdge Learning is a network member of Ashton Education. The role requires the regular evaluation of the efficiency of business procedures, objectives, and the ability to apply improvements.As a professional who values the importance of education standards, I manage the procurement process and coordination of quality resources. This includes the management of relationships/agreements with external academic partners, vendors, and Ashton Education team members.To ensure the successful growth of the business, I am responsible to formulate policies, develop processes, and review financial information for operational budgets to ensure efficiencies are met, while evaluating overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics.

As the Director of Operations, I am responsible for the efficient operations of the franchise system. I work closely with the marketing and IT development departments. My responsibilities included identifying operational weaknesses, developing strategic plans, conducting research and development at the head office level through testing and building training programs for new products being introduced to the system. I am responsible for regular communication with the system and to build a motivational relationship with the franchisees. As the Director of Operations, I work to ensure new Centre openings are a success. I am accountable for the ongoing success of the system and to develop best practices that will help to increase key performance indicators. As a results-orientated individual, I work to analyze the franchise system performance and seek new opportunities to maximize performance.

As an Education Director of two Oxford Learning Centres, I developed management skills that increase profitability for the business. The role includes master scheduling, organizing and planning daily operations for each location. I implemented company policies and provide program management. As a director I was responsible for all administrative duties, program contracts, conducting assessments and report writing. This role is sales driven, while still meeting the needs of clients with exceptional circumstances. I have utilized my human resource skills in the form of training, coaching, and hiring staff members. I have developed a comfort level in addressing staff members with dignity. The position allowed me to build teams of successful professionals to meet the needs of the community.My position has allowed me to develop communication skills, including various forms of media including print, radio, and television. I have been interviewed on many occasions and have presented as an expert in the education field on television segments. I am comfortable liaising with others in my field, such as members of the school board, medical field, and differential needs associations. To increase brand awareness, I have developed cross-marketing initiatives, run community events and presented at conferences regularly.

Working with students from 3 years to grade 11 developing effective learning strategies and helping them to meet individualized social and academic development goals. I filled the role of the Primary Little Reader teacher in charge of caring for students’ individual needs while assessing impact on the whole, lesson planning, and ensured positive parent interactions. I taught early literacy skills, numeracy skills, and learning skills to a wide age and ability range of students. Worked with individuals affected by autism, ADD, ADHD, ODD, Irlen Syndrome, Down-syndrome, CAPD, and visual processing learning disabilities.

As a Store Manager I was responsible for hiring and training all new staff members. I acted as a Manager Trainer for new store managers. I was responsible for providing quality customer service, resulting in increased sales and meeting budget expectations. Coaching staff members on how to increase units per transaction and increase sales was a daily priority. Provided motivation for staff members through store run incentives. Merchandising and company standards were met at all times. Scheduling in accordance with budgets, deposit balances and all store level paperwork was completed. Addressed any customer complaints in a professional manner.
