The Coalitions works to assure access to prescribed treatments for individuals with autism including applied behavior analysis (ABA), speech therapy and other treatment modalities.

Root Consulting is passionate about helping people and organizations unleash creativity to maximize their full potential. My goals are to build service capacity and advocacy supports for individuals with Autism by providing support services for individuals and families and consulting services for providers. I am committed to collaborate with state agencies, advocacy organizations, educators, trade associations, behavioral healthcare and developmental disabilities service providers to strategize on how to build service and funding capacity to support the autism and developmental disabilities communities. The Elijah Glen Center’s mission is to serve adolescents with an autism spectrum disorder and individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability who do not warrant intensive psychiatric or acute care but who need a less restrictive short term inpatient or step down care program to stabilize and to reunify back into their family’s life. The Elijah Glen Center offers two unique programs to help support adolescents at time of crisis: Stabilization Program and Intensive Treatment Program. Also Marla works on coordinate strategic community relations activities, supports communications and public affairs for Step By Step Academy activities throughout the Columbus and surrounding communities. Integrate public relations and initiatives into a consistent message in support of Step By Step Academy’s strategic goals and objectives. Serve as liaison to the community to improve and enhance external relations. Seek opportunities to enhance the image and visibility of Step By Step Academy in the community. Marla is the parent advocate with Step By Step Academy and has worked with hundreds of families throughout Ohio. She has provided presentations for many organizations such as The Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities, Franklin County Children Services, and the Ohio Center for the Deafblind Education. Marla has been advocating for funding and services since 1998 when her son was diagnosed with autism. Marla is currently a board member for the ASA-Autism Society of Ohio and has a Bachelor of Science Finance degree from Franklin University

OH ABA's mission Is to support the growth and dissemination of applied behavior analysis in the public and private sectors, with special emphasis on application in educational settings. Conducting a conference that supports BCBA certification by offering CEU credits for timely and relevant informational sessions. Supporting the Focus on Behavior Analysis in Education conference held in Columbus every 10 years (the next one scheduled for 2012). Supporting BCBA certification for OH ABA members with information/support on initial application and renewal. Establishing and maintaining a website that disseminates relevant and timely information to the applied behavior analysis community of Ohio
