Throughout my life, I have been immersed in agriculture. I grew up on a ranch in Northwestern Nebraska raising beef cattle and horses. I have been fortunate enough to continue my life on the ranch after graduating from the University of Wyoming in 2010. I raise and train my own horses and dabble in selling classy home-raised young bred cows (when droughts don't get in the way). Because of my ag background, I am a passionate agvocate and am working through the Masters of Beef Advocacy program. While at the University of Wyoming, I obtained a B.S. in Ag Business with a concentration on Farm and Ranch Management. I minored in Animal Science, concentrating on Beef Production. Since graduating, I have found a passion for Extension work. I am excited to take on my new job as 4-H Assistant in Sioux County. I have had the opportunity to work with 4-H clubs and leaders and act as a volunteer in several curriculum areas including horse, sewing and meat evaluation.I plan to start my Masters Degree in the near future, after which, I hope to obtain a position as a Youth Educator for UNL Extension.
