advancetherapysystems.ie - Experience in providing assessments and treatments to children and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactive Disorder), Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Sensory Integration Disorder (SPD), developmental delays, learning disabilities, and other disabling conditions. - Proficient in using the following assessment tools: Bayley Scales, BOT-2, Beery–Buktenica Development Tests, The Sensory Processing Measure (SPM), Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile, The Handwriting Speed test (Irish Version), The Hedderly Sentence Completion test, The Developmental Coordination Questionnaire (DCDQ), DCD Questionaire Adults/Adolescents, Ayres Sensory Clinical Observations, Background Information, and Occupational History Profile- Experience in writing clinical reports for assistive technology for schools and other occupational therapy recommendations for school settings. - Planning and providing intervention treatments for children with sensory processing difficulties, using GAS Goals. - Implementation of sensory integration strategies and other cognitive-behavioral approaches ( e.g. problem-solving, backward chaining, CO-OP approach, DIR Floortime) in an individualized way (1 therapist to 1 child)- Experience working on the following areas: self-regulation and organization of behaviour, Praxis, Body awareness, and Body Coordination, Bilateral coordination and fine motor skills, Pre-writing skills (postural control, functional pencil grip, visual motor skills and ocular motor control)- Responsible for other roles in the clinic, such as managerial tasks, clinical supervision, and clinical training (planning and delivery).

- Carrying out Occupational Therapy programmes done by OT Department: wheight bearing, deep pressure activities, usage of a weighted vest/blanket and adaptive utensils for eating and drinking. Creation of sensory spaces and material. - Creation and Implementation of a Travel Training Programme, based on protocols and procedures of SJOG, Dublin South East.- Performing a Key worker role and ensuring clients have an updated Personal Directed Plan through a person centred planning process.- Orientation and 1-1 Support for activities such as: Karate, Gym, Swimming, Literacy,Independent Living Skills, outings and Computers classes. Internal Training- Introduction to Sensory Processing - Multi element behaviour Support (MEBS), Callan Institute - Dysphagia Training- Manual Handling- MAPA-Management of Actual or Potential Aggression- Safeguarding Vulnerable People- Safety Administration Medication Training- Epilepsy and Midazolam Training- Fire Safety

Facilitation and development of programs related to personal development, personal care, travel training in the community, social participation, occupational and leisure activities, in an individual and group basis.

- Responsible for evaluation and intervention with adults with psychiatric disorders from ages 18-50, in a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Service, Residential Care Services with a Psychiatric Focus and Psychiatric In-Patient Service.- Planning and Orientation of Social Cognition Sessions, Body and Movement Activities, Jacobson’s Progressive Relaxation Therapy and Respiratory Exercises, Social Community Activities, Group Dynamics, Cognitive Stimulation Activities, Creative and Manual Activities, Instrumental Activity of Daily Living Skills Training.-Working as part of a Multidisciplinary Team and facilitating the transition from Hospital to community integration.-Participation in projects with the OT team and weekly meetings to give feedback of my performance and sharing study cases of patients, based on the problem–solving approach.

- Assessment and Intervention in people with Dementia in moderate or severe state on Acute Service and Day Hospital (age range 50 + years).- Application of OT methods and approaches specific to gerontology, including LOTCA-G, Lawton Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale, Interests Checklist.- Planning and Orientation of Therapeutic Activities based on Occupational Therapy Practice Framework, Multisensory Approaches, Music and Art Therapy, Body and Movement Therapy, Reality Orientation and Reminiscence Therapy.

- Assessment and intervention in adults with severe and chronic mental illness( Major Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety and Addictions, in the context of day hospital.- Application of methods and approaches that are specific to OT in Mental Health: Model of Human Occupation (MOHO);Occupational Self Assessment (OSA), Interests Checklist, Recovery Assessment Scale (RAS) and Semi-Structured Interviews.- Planning and Orientation of Body and Movement Activities, Jacobson’s Progressive Relaxation Therapy and Respiratory Exercises, Social-Interactive Activities, Cognitive Stimulation Activities and Creative Techniques Sessions, - Collaboration in theater group activities and outpatient rehabilitation activities.

- Evaluation and intervention with adults and children with neurological and musculoskeletal disabilities (Stroke, Brain Injury, Developmental Delays and Autism).- Planning and Orientation of Therapeutic Activity’s focused on Fine motor and Bilateral Coordination, Manual Dexterity and Multisensory Approaches. Use of Assistive Technology for Dressing and Feeding (individual treatment and group activities)

- Work with a Multidisciplinary Team in primary and secondary schools for assessment and intervention in children with special education needs and neurodevelopmental disability or delay (Age range: 6-18 years)- Orientation of Motor Coordination and Praxis Activities, Practice of Activities of Daily Living and Practice of Communication/Social skills and Cognitive Skills.
