CurrentPerforms a variety of highly responsible, complex, technical and confidential support services in the organization, maintenance and processing of matters relating to the district’s personnel functions. The employee in this classification receives limited supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This job class requires a high level of organizational skills as well as the ability to function while exercising a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. It is necessary that the incumbent in this job class acquires in depth knowledge of appropriate laws and regulations (Federal, State, Ed Code and collective bargaining agreements) pertaining to personnel matters. This job class functions in a highly visible and independent manner and includes extensive contact with district staff members and the general public requiring a high degree of tact, discretion and judgment. The incumbent is responsible for all ongoing personnel functions within the district with the exception of those top level matters which fall within the Superintendent’s purview.
