jomarby's heart is my second passion. I am best known for my collection of “hearts.” My love for the collection of hearts is the inspiration of my work. “How did it all begin,” I am at times asked. Well, my fascination actually began when I was visiting a woman's expo and noticed all the manufactured jewelry and competition between vendors. I had a thought – “everyone is selling the same thing, there's no variety in the jewelry!” I had a revelation -- I would design unique creations from beads and gemstones. So, I started visiting bead stores and fell in love with the unusual stones. After my first class, I craved the desire to design through beaded jewelry. My aspiration to share these gifts with others gave birth to “jomarby’s heart.”

WEB DESIGNER, jomarby web design, ~ Design, develop, and implement web sites, graphics, and layouts. Create, manage, and maintain several web sites, with responsibility for creation of web content. In-depth experience applying graphic design principles to produce creative, innovative, and professional web sites. Experience in HTML, FrontPage Dreamweaver MX, Photoshop, Fireworks, and Macromedia Flash. Working knowledge of Visual Basics, Adobe Photoshop, PHP, CSS, MySQL, and DHTML. Long term contract position that involved working with a team of analysts and engineers of a leading full service consulting engineering firm as a technical editor. After six-month anniversary, I was assigned the responsibility as Team Leader of Editing Department. Duties included proofreading and editing Flood Insurance Studies, Special Congressional correspondence, Standard Operating Procedures, and manuals for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the National Flood Insurance Program. Worked with Adobe Acrobat publishing, computer-based graphics, editing storyboards and some web content. Possess excellent writing, editing, proofreading, organizational and analytical skills. Maintained excellent interpersonal skills, interacting with and gathering information from a highly technical staff. Proficient in understanding and writing clearly about complex, sophisticated technical topics. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and paying close attention to detail on many varied tasks while working in a team environment, as well as independently. Provided assistant to the Marketing Department in the searching and finding Request for Proposals (RFPs) for government contracts; maintained RFPs tracking log, updated and maintained the consultant and RFPs databases. Also assisted in the creation and editing of RFPs, as well in the production of posters, flyers, and brochures for marketing support and public relations related tasks, such as assisting with press releases, new employee announcements, and the planning and coordination of promotional events. Also assisted the Call Center with database entry and responding to client's inquiries.
