Marlene Cohen, Ed.D., BCBA-D is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level. Dr. Cohen received her B.A. in Psychology from Douglass College, Rutgers University, her M.Ed. in Special Education and her Supervisor of Education Certificate from Trenton State College, and her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Cohen has over 40 years of experience in the field of behavior analysis in private, public, and university settings. She has presented both nationally and internationally at conferences on a variety of Applied Behavior Analysis topics. Dr. Cohen has co-authored the book Visual Supports for People with Autism, which is now in its second edition. She is a co-founder and was first President of the New Jersey Association for Behavior Analysis. Her areas of professional interest include precision teaching, organizational behavior management, transition to adulthood, self-determination, functional assessment of challenging behaviors, social skills instruction for students with Asperger’s Syndrome, the use of visual supports for learners with autism, and curriculum development. Areas of research include precision teaching and relational frame theory.
