Assessment & Research Librarian
- Coordinates library assessment initiatives and projects. - Shares responsibility with other members of the Research Services Department for providing all aspects of research support.- Gathers and explores relevant data sources to support library initiatives, assessment projects, and university reporting.- Provides data analysis of user behavior, library usage patterns, and service quality. - Identifies opportunities for improvement based on data-driven insights.- Creates interactive dashboards and reports to communicate findings with library and university administration. Present data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner.- Leads library services and programs assessment. - Coordinates library website usability studies for website development. - Collaborate with all departments in the library to provide marketing & outreach services including: library newsletter, social media, promotional materials, displays, resources, and tutorials.- Works with students, faculty, staff and other users on a one-to-one basis by filling specific information requests, offering research assistance, and guiding patrons in the effective use of information sources available through the library. - Provides individual, classroom and group instruction in library services and procedures, search strategies and the use of information sources. - Serves as the collection development liaison to Communication Studies, Digital Media Design, Kinesiology, and Psychology departments.- Assists in selection and evaluation of material in assigned subject areas for the library collection; and works to develop and maintain good relations with the faculty. - Participates in professional activities, including university and library committees and task forces, and attends professional meetings.
