Palouse Discovery Science Center is a great volunteer/internship opportunity for any student wanting to get first hand experience working with children. This center provides stem related activities and exhibits for young children to explore. I was interning as an assistant, and did tasks such as finding new ideas for projects, organizing flyers, and assisting with events. I plan to go into a career working with children and this internship gave me lots of first-hand experience with that. I was able to learn more about children's behavior from different ages, as well as observing their communication style with other children and adults.
