Our AMP is comprised of inventorying, evaluating, and creating work orders for maintenance activities based on the generated field data and criteria of each asset that we maintain. For example, we maintain over 250,000 storm drainage features currently in our AMP and we need a method to determine which features require maintenance to comply with NPDES - knowing we don't have the work force to touch every 250,000 features each year. Another exciting part of my job is leading a small design team that are tasked with surveying and engineering small projects of all kind that once built will reduce our maintenance activities and improve overall public safety. I feel I have come full circle in my career, coming back to roadway and storm drainage design where I began my career over 30 years ago. This was a great place to end my public employment, and I will miss the friends made there and the exciting and huge workload - at least until my next hike....👍Life is good, onward to semi-retirement and things we love to do.
