I have been in the wood products business for over 30 years. I started my career in the OSB business working as a Mill Operator. I worked in all the operating positions eventually making my way to mill Senior Leadership. These roles included Safety & Environmental Manager, Production Manager, Operation Manager and ending with Plant Manager. I am now currently working in the Softwood Lumber Industry as the Corporate Production Coordination Manager. In my new role I oversee the production coordination and shipping departments of the 13 US South mills. I also work as a liaison between Sales, Logistics and Manufacturing.I have extensive experience in building and implementing new programs from safety programs up to and including improved work systems. I have multi mill experience which includes exposure to different companies. These experiences helped me to grow as a key leader within all the organizations.I have extensive experience in labor relations, environmental legislation, conflict resolution, quality management systems, compliance to safety regulations in regards to OH&S and OSHA. My true passion is working with people, helping to mentor and develop the next leaders in our businesses. I truly believe the biggest asset in any company is their people. Without proper structure and development of these people, businesses struggle to be successful in regards to morale, employee turnover and work place effectiveness.
