I am currently the School Education Manager at Childtime Learning Center in Fairfax, VA which is a part of the Learning Care Group. My role as the School Education Manager has shown me the business side of running a Day Care Center as well as the educational side of running a Preschool. I draw on my background in Childhood Development to ensure that the needs of all children from birth to 12 years old are being met. I help train the teachers (and teaching aides) in the best practices for classroom management including and implementing preparing lesson plans as well as appropriate modes of discipline.I have been a Special Education Teacher in the primary grades, PreK-5 and have worked with students with various challenging behaviors and academic needs including students in the Preschool and the Gifted and Talented Center. My experience as an educator afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with others and make a difference in the life of both children and their families. I have taught in small-groups and co-taught in the general education classroom. I believe that all students can learn in the right nurturing environment with the right tools.
