As a strong believer in microbes as enablers for a sustainable future, I am passionate about using Microbiological and Microbial Ecological concepts to address fundamental questions and societal needs in natural and engineered systems and within biotechnology to facilitate the green transition to a more sustainable world. I worked with purified microbes and complex microbial communities at different scales, from a couple of ml to 10 L lab reactors to pilot reactors at a wastewater treatment plant. I enjoy teaching and knowledge sharing within Biology, Microbial Ecology, and Microbiology, bridging into Engineered Systems and Biotechnology. As a person, I am straightforward and outgoing, and I have an equally curious and strategic mindset. I aim to generate high-quality results with a high societal impact through individual endeavors and collaboration with cross-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary stakeholders. I thrive in international environments and develop my competencies working with people from different disciplines, cultures, and backgrounds.
Listed skills include Wastewater Treatment, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, and 14 others.

Microbial Ecologist/Microbiologist in Biological Conversions (BioCon) Group at DTU Chemical Engineering
Hørsholm Municipality, Capital Region Of Denmark, Denmark
Analytical Chemistry. Analysis of simple carbohydrates and organic acids using Ion Chromatography with different detectors. Method development, instrument troubleshooting, and quantitative chromatography using Chromeleon. Data analysis. QC. Supporting internal customers in LIMS, sampling, sample preservation, data validation
DTU Sustain
Environmental system microbiology with a focus on the development, curation, and implementation of molecular and microbiological methods. Linking microbial ecology and biogeochemistry with biotechnology. My research centered around the nitrogen cycle in natural and engineered systems, focusing on fixed nitrogen conversions and nitrous oxide emissions.
Kongens Lyngby, Capital Region, Denmark
Laboratory management (Molecular-Microbiology Lab, Chemistry Labs, Reactor Labs, Ecotoxicology Lab) and Team leader of seven laboratory technicians and service workers.
Kongens Lyngby, Capital Region, Denmark
I was involved in two big cross-disciplinary projects on the biological production and emission of nitrous oxide (N2O) during traditional and advanced nitrogen treatment in wastewater treatment plants. We measure nitrous oxide emissions at full-scale and in lab-scale reactors and lowered N2O emissions through operational controls. We developed a new 15N.
Odense Area, Denmark
I was involved in a project studying microbial iron reduction in lake sediments - the importance of metal reduction in benthic carbon mineralization, the diversity of metal-oxide reducing community, and the geochemistry of iron in lakes. This project was a collaboration between the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Copenhagen University (LIFE-KU).
Bremen, Germany
I was involved in various projects on rates and controls of nitrogen loss processes in marine suboxic environments, in particular oceanic oxygen minimum zones
