Electronic Services Librarian
Current1. Coordinate the development and maintenance of access to electronic information resources for the Library’s clients through the identification, evaluation and implementation of information and communication technologies.2. Liaise with Australian and overseas electronic resource vendors and suppliers regarding authentication, technical support and problem resolution.3. Provide expert advice to the Director on all matters relating to the development of the Department of Health (DoH) Libraries’ electronic resources.4. Manage the operational planning and implementation processes for the licensing, authentication and integration of new electronic resources.5. Advise and liaise with the Resources Management Librarian on issues impacting on the day-to-day operations of the Resources Management Unit to ensure both budget and service objectives are met.6. Oversee the integrated library management system, managed on a day-to-day basis by the Systems Support Librarian, to ensure that the Library catalogue and associated modules fulfil their role as a resource discovery tool for Library staff and clients.7. Collaborate with other Library professionals to develop and implement innovative, electronic services.8. Take responsibility for training other Library staff in using all electronic applications effectively.9. Assist in the provision of a professional reference and information service to the clients of the Health Library Service.10. Act, as required, as Team Leader in the Resources Management Unit
